Time to get Fit – Week 2

So I started my “workout plan” last week, and honestly I only made to the gym the 1st day. I was sore for about 3 days after the 1st night, and just did not feel like going back. I have been riding my bicycle, and managed to get some good cardio in through out the week so I don’t feel too bad.

As for the eating, I feel like I am making progress overall. I still managed to eat a burger and fries one night, and Plucker’s wings on Saturday. Made a trip to the store and feel like a made some overall healthy selections like chicken breasts, tilapia filets, brown rice and lots of frozen vegetables. Still trying to make meals that taste good, and are good for me. Need some help there.

A new guy started at my job last week, and has experience as a personal trainer. We met at the gym tonight, and he was able to give me some good tips. I feel like I got a lot more out of  tonight’s upper body workout, and it made a difference to have a partner instead of being by myself. I think the plan is to get me going, and then I can do them on my own. Don’t see a problem with getting to the gym at least 3 times this week for sure.

It’s still just the beginning, but I am on the way!
