Time to get Fit – Week 8

So I am into week 8 of my fitness plan, week 2 of the Stay Fit weight loss challenge I entered at work, and so far I am making progress! I started the challenge at 208 lbs with a 47 (gulp) inch waist last week. Sadly, I overindulged over the weekend, and was worried about my weekly weigh in. Was honestly expecting a 2 pound weight gain, but was pleasantly surprised to learn I lost 1 pound and a 1/2 inch off my waist!

So what did I learn this week?

I get a free day, and that it’s OK to take advantage of it. Just don’t go out of control, and really try to stick to the plan the rest of the week.

Keep focused on the big picture! A pound or half inch may not sound like much, but it is progress toward the overall goal. It took a while to put the weight and fat on so losing it is not going to happen overnight.

Overall, this is good prep work because the season of holiday eating and comfort foods are around the corner. Yes, potlucks…Thanksgiving…pumpkin pie…Lattes…chocolates…it goes on and on. Tempting yes, but I for one don’t want to be storing fat for the winter, I want to burn it!
