I have been privileged be chosen as a co-leader of a community group at my church, North Village. This Fall we will cover “The Gospel Centered Life,” a small group study that focuses on how the gospel shapes every aspect of our lives. We had our initial meeting this past week, and it was very exciting. I am blessed to have a wonderful co-leader, and an awesome group of people choosing to be a part of our group. It is awesome to see how God brings people together when you know their journey started at other times, and other places. I wait with anticipation to see what God does in lives of each person, our relationships, and the community we serve.
Although, I am sure that revelation will come through our lesson time I believe its about more than that. It is about us doing life together, breaking bread, being open, real and genuine with each other. It’s about having intimate prayer with our Heavenly Father, and praying for each others needs. It is going past the surface and going deeper in each others lives. It may not be pretty, and it may get messy at times. That is life! Thankfully, we have grace. Ultimately, this is not about me, how well I can lead or teach. This about Jesus, about glorifying Him, and loving others through the gospel. This is going to be a great season!
